Bleeding after fetal demise

I lost my baby at 18 weeks. I delivered her on Aug 20. My doctor did a D&C after delivery because my placenta was retained and she said even after the D&C she couldn’t get it all. Has anyone experience bleeding for several months after this type of scenario?

I have since switched OB doctors and an ultra sound was done to see if any tissue was left and it showed none. However I’ve been bleeding on and off since we lost the baby.

Any advice or anyone have this? We want to start trying again in December but I don’t know if the bleeding has any affect on this.
