So the office I work for has some pretty good ultrasound equipment so the tech and I decided to see if we could find anything abdominally (6w 2/3 days). We found the baby, the yolk sac, and even saw the heart beat. She did have to push pretty hard to find it and the slightest move of the hand piece would make the baby disappear.

I work in urology so this machine was never really set up for gym functions but the tech has been doing this for like 20 years and has measured plenty of babies. After messing with the machine for a few minutes she found the gyn setting and started measuring the sac and the baby.

My sac is measuring 7 weeks 4 days, the baby is measuring 6 weeks exactly and we could only get the right angle to measure the heartbeat once and it was only 64bmp. She told me she must have been doing something wrong, since that was the first time she’d ever even found the settings on that machine. At first i was like “oh whatever, it’s fine. I SAW A HEARTBEAT” but now I’m panicking and praying she just did it wrong.

We’re gunna try again on Friday but I’m gunna be a wreck until then 🤦🏻‍♀️

UPDATE

So the tech downloaded a separate OB function to the machine and it seems the heart rate is actually 110 which seems ok for 6 weeks 4 days.
