Anyone planning to vacation this year with baby?

My husband and I have always loved traveling. We spent two months traveling around Europe staying in hostels and spent time down in Central America last year. Now that we have an 11 week old our vacations have been on hold since baby was born and most of my pregnancy, but we are starting to get the travel bug again. We are thinking of planning an international trip with baby for spring time around April. Our son will be 8ish months at that time. Has anyone traveled with a baby around that age and how did the trip go? We would go somewhere without a major time zone change first like maybe Riviera Maya in Mexico or somewhere in the Caribbean. We are planning a one week trip in September 2019 (baby will be 13 months) to Ireland and we know that time zone adjustment might be tough. Does anyone have travel tips for babies in this age range or are planning trips yourself?

We are planning to go to su Lang (3 hour car ride) and Mexico during spring break for me and our daughter to meet my husbands family.

We go on cruises with our young family! My 4 year old has been on 3 already and we just got our August baby a passport to be ready for a June trip to Cuba. I bring everything baby related I think we might need and we travel with my side of the family so there’s lots of help. It’s inefficient to travel with kids but we love watching them experience new things!

I’m planning (well, contemplating) a Caribbean resort trip in Feb with our daughter who will be 6 months at the time. The travel bug’s got me too. We’d probably go to Cuba. I’ve been before and know what to expect in terms of amenities, but am worried about the lack of clean tap water for formula (I’m currently combination feeding - bottled water they provide would be ok especially if I bring a small electric kettle just to make sure. Sometimes bottled water in other countries has different standards than here. I could also bring ready to feed instead of powder). And also for washing bottles, baby’s things.. especially as rooms don’t typically have kitchens.

We haven't travelled international but we took a 12 hour car ride to the smokey mountains at 2 months and baby did great (He also hates his car seat)

2 of my kids have traveled internationally at 6 months on 14+hr flights.We always pay an small extra fee for a bassinet on the plane so that we're not holding baby all through the flight and that we also can get some rest.My babies are formula fed so for the flight we packed ready made formula so we didnt have to worry about measuring and mixing.Both babies slept through most of the flight.As for the toddler stage we packed lots of favorite snacks and a few favorite small toys for entertainment.I also pack my toddler a small blanket to get comfortable and to feel something familiar with home.One small thing to invest in are children ear plugs called EarPlanes that you can purchase on Amazon.It helps reduce noise and you put it in during take off and then again during landing to help alleviate cabin pressure.Our youngest will be 6months in January and we have another international vacation planned.We're so excited but will be our first vacation as a family of 5.We will be traveling with a 5yr,2.5yr,and a 6month old.
