When I go to the bathroom I change my pad but why does it smell bad everytime I pull down my underwear to sit on the toilet from my pad is it the blood

Blood starts to smell when it hits oxygen. That’s one big thing I love about my cup it never smells lol I hated the smell from pads

Yeah, its gross no lie. Just be extra hygiene conscious during that time. Something that helps me is carrying wet wipes. I use baby wipes because they are cheap and have no artificial perfumes which is good for your vagina and sensitive skin. I use them every morning to get oil off my face and during my period for my vagina when changing my pad. 
Also if you want to wear tampons it may take a few tries before you get it right, also always remove the applicator!
