What?!? Sneak peek ..

So we just left our 12+6 ultrasound and we did the sneak peek test at 9+3 and it said GIRL! Well the ultrasound tech just said she thinks boy according to a nub. I’m FREAKING out!!! Opinions?!?

I personally think the “nub” is the leg!?

It's too early to tell by ultrasound. The "nub" could still be forming girl parts.

It’s impossible to get false positive for girl on that test, as they check for Y chromosomes. Since there are none, you didn’t contaminate and are not having a boy. You can only get he wrong answer for a boy due to contamination.

Who guesses this early? Everything is still forming/developing. The nub is a theory anyways. I think the only thing that confirms is the anatomy scan and/or NIPT.

Exact same situation! Did sneak peak it said boy, just went in yesterday tech guessed girl. I do have a son so it’s possible I got some of his DNA in there- that’s the only way I can imagine an error? Hard to wait 8 more weeks now for our next ultrasound not knowing haha. Sneak peek is 98% accurate supposedly.

Some ultrasound techs are really good at telling the sex. Some can see it as soon as 13 wks, and you’re one day shy of it. When I worked at a hospital, I remember a tech (we called her the gender genie) explained to me that girls have 3 lines when you see the money shot. I might be wrong because it was so many years ago. I wouldn’t go crazy, she did said she thought it was a boy. Maybe she was just having fun with you guys since so many parents ask. Also, sneak peak has a higher risk factor of contamination with boys in the house. I took one weeks ago and it came out boy, but I have 3 boys and my husband at home. I’m waiting for my panorama test results now. Keep us updated if she was right or wrong!

Sneak peek has too much room for error to be honest and incorrect results. I would trust the tech more then sneak peek
