Should i wait

i’ve been on birth control for two months. however, for the second month i switched brands. well there were more than two occasions of me taking my birth control pill late. i finished my pack, including the inactive pills. I should start my new pack, but I have yet to get my period. I’m not sure if i should just wait until i do get my period to start the new pack or just start the new pack. i’m not too worried about pregnancy, but i should probably take a test just in case.
