Anyone choosing no ultrasounds?

Is anyone else choosing not to get ultrasounds, or very few ultrasounds during your pregnancy? Due to my insurance and some other reasons, we are only getting one at 20 weeks if everything is looking good otherwise. Super jealous of the little ultrasounds I'm seeing everywhere in here, and just curious if anyone else is in the same boat as little old me 🤰

I’m not having any. I had one at 12 weeks my last pregnancy because my mom didn’t believe I was pregnant (never lied about it before. 🙄🙄🙄🙄) but since I’ve learned ultrasounds are not tested for radiation. So i won’t be having any this time around if I can help it.

My doctor only does one in the first trimester and one at 20 weeks... and my old doctor did they a lot more so I’m sad about that! You can pay out of pocket to get them done elsewhere and they aren’t that expensive. I probably will do that this time around.

In Canada you only get more than two (one around 12 weeks and one at 20) if you are high risk/they’re worried about something, or they couldn’t get accurate measurements. So I’m hoping for only two because it means things are all fine.

In the UK you need to have scans at 12 weeks and then 20 weeks so they can make sure nothing is wrong it’s quite important to have 2 as things can get missed

In norway too basically get one at 18 weeks and then just routine later on preparing for birth where most people don't get ultrasounds.. so don't be sad about it, you're gonna be fine.

I got one to be sure it was not an eptopic at 6w, which its not, and I MIGHT get one more closed to the end to make sure all is well. But otherwise no more ultrasounds for this baby, not even for the gender !

The only reason I am going to get a bunch is because my first baby was a 28 weeker and I am high risk. Usually my insurance only approves 1 scan at 8 weeks and 1 at 20
