Older siblings date. Did you do it?

Tonight, took my first born on an “us date” we went for sushi (he’s brave, mine was cooked) then went to this pottery painting place.

My son and I have always had a close bond and I wanted to do something with him before his sister arrives Friday. Which, I’m feeling guilty about being induced but its for medical reasons.

Anyway, my 14yr old has such a kind soul. He’s taken care of me for the past week because I’ve had so many health issues and he’s been such a help. He is as tall as me and hugged me tonight and said he knows ill need help with the baby and he can’t wait to help even though it’s not a boy lol but we had a great time!!

Tomorrow night I have an “us date” with my almost 13 yr old daughter and will go to Barnes and Noble and have coffee and shop. Her choice.

I felt like I needed to give them the one on one attention they deserve before Friday. And as I sat across from him, I couldn’t help but feel like my baby isn’t a baby anymore but yet he’s still my baby 😂 how I managed to raise such a awesome kid by myself and he’s still alive and so kick ass is beyond me lol

But in all seriousness, this child saved my life.

Anyone else do something for their older kids to make them feel special before the baby comes??

My daughter was pretty upset that she’s not going to be the baby anymore so I’m hoping we find some type of journal to communicate in. I seen one online I want to get us. Girls are SO hard when they get older.

Sorry so long if you made it this far, I don’t really have ppl to share these times with anymore.
