Mid cycle period?? Is it ovulation?

So 11 days into my cycle I started spotting. That happened for a few days and on the 3rd day I started bleeding heavy like a normal period. Ive never had mid cycle bleeding. I've read it could he ovulation but I'm not supposed to ovulate until Saturday. The day before I started bleeding heavy my husband and I did the dead and now I'm worried about chances of pregnancy. In July I gave birth to my daughter who is 4 months old Sunday, so I'm not really trying to get preggo. But I'm not really worried about it either. I was on the pill but not been great about taking it everyday so I gave up on it before my last period. So idk if this bleeding is from that or what but I'm just so confused. Idk if this is a period or ovulation. I'm wondering if I ovulated early since that's what it felt like before the bleeding. It was on the right side with the light spotting and it turned into heavy flow and bad cramps. My normal periods are about 5 days long and cycle is about 30 days. Anyone have anything similar to this? Also, I tried to get into an OB but nothing is available until mid December and my husband and I move early December from Florida to California since we are military. Idk what to do. I've never had this happen before. Any advice would be great.
