Are the what to expect books worth buying?

Did you buy what to expect or similar books and actually use it ? I think it sounds great and I'll run out and buy a copy tonight but I'm worried that it's a first time preggers woman mistake and waste.

I loved having the books! They include more/different info than the app.

I've never bought any sort of pregnancy or parenting book. My OB was always my #1 source of information during my pregnancy and parenting is a whole lot of common sense to me. If I have a question (which is rare), I consult our pediatrician.

I’ve been recommended ‘up the duff’ as a really down to earth guide. I do have what to expect and both my husband and I have been reading along as we go.

I had the "what to expect" app and that was perfect for me. You still get all the info and up to date articles as opposed to the book. I had the book and never opened it because the app was easier.

I have liked the “What to Expect: First Year”. I dont have other ones.

I have never read one but what I used to worry about being so uninformed about everything. But, the advice I would give my own self months ago would be “expect the unexpected” lol Nothing could have prepared me for my last weeks of pregnancy

I've read the First Six Weeks and honestly it was very insightful. I even used it to pack my hospital bag.
