To clarify:

I have a family member who has had several high school friends that I’ve always gotten along with. We have each other on FB and IG and we interact frequently. My relative had a “fall out” with them a few years ago because they grew apart and she felt that they didn’t put in an effort to continue the friendship.

One day she asked me “Why are you still friends with those bitches?! I don’t get it, I just wouldn’t be friends with them anymore.”

I saw her point (because I know them through her) but at the same time, they never did any harm to her and definitely not to me. So I never saw it as a bad thing to keep contact with them?

Would you stay friends with someone, even if the person you know them through now hates them?
