Any babies still use pacifier?

Mine is actually funny. We made it first year no pacifier at all. As soon as she turned one year old, she started sucking thumb out of no where and so I give her pacifier at home instead. She doesn’t use pacifier during the day, or outside but she would like it when she’s at home and especially bed time. I don’t really think she needs it but might be become habit now. Just curious what other babies are doing. I do try to plan to take it away after 2 yrs old? Supposedly it’s bad for the baby teeth?

My son still uses his Constantly. I feel like it’s messing his teeth up...we are going to start slowly taking it away.

Only at nighttime. We just weaned off of naptimes. He just got a baby sister and a toddler bed, didn’t want to change everything up.

Our son sucks his thumb. He only has it in his mouth when he’s laying down for nap or going to bed though. Not sure how we’re going to break that habit🤷🏻‍♀️The only other time he sucks it is if he’s not feeling good or when he’s ready for a nap and we haven’t put him to bed yet. He usually doesn’t start sucking it until he’s been laying down for a few minutes so we don’t know what to do to get him to stop because we can’t be in there to tell him no or he’s never go to sleep...

My daughter only used them for sleep and never had one while awake.  We took it away right at 18 months and she did fine after a few days.  She was a pacifier addict for sleep so we were very happy it went so well

We had them from day one but they’ve never been life or death. If we don’t have one he doesn’t notice. If he finds one under the couch he’s happy to have it but in general we keep them in the crib and he’s not terribly unhappy. We used to bring them with us when we left the house but he’s outgrown the need lately and I never remember anyway 😂

Thumb. Our daughter CONSTANTLY has her thumb in her mouth. It will be very hard to break this but we need to start that soon.

The same thing happened to our baby when I weaned off the breast at 20 months. She suddenly started using a pacifier. Always used yo spit it out.At first not a lot and then she started wanting it more. And then one day we just hid all of them and just said "we don't have any. All gone." Wasn't a huge deal but a bit difficult. The only thing now is that she's started waking up at night (she never used a pacifier for bed so it's unrelated ) after over a year of never waking up. She's super sleepy but is petrified to go back to bed. I'm exhausted. As for pacifiers, I think there are different points of views on benefits/drawbacks. I tend to find people have extreme views. I do know that the people at daycare tell me that most 3 year olds just end up giving them up naturally.
