Thanksgiving tradition. Our family isn’t into sports at all so we don’t have to worry about the game on Thanksgiving.

I hope not. I have been trying years to get out of doing a tree. Might have it this year 🤞 last year I got away with a tree and just lights. I said i wanted to appreciate the simplicity 😒 I was really to lazy to want to undecorate the tree.
My bf and his family don't do Christmas - I mean he would if I pushed it but I have no family so why bother?- and my oldest just has no spirit. 
This year she asked to do a dirty Santa type thing, she's never done one, so im hoping we can do that and skip american style the whole way

Well im in Canada so if i put it up after thanksgiving then it would have been up early October😂 we put it up late December:( my mom hates having it around so she tries to minimize the time

I like the idea of a fall decorated tree as a transition. I’ll probably do that next year. The day after thanksgiving the Christmas decor will be going up!
