Is bag balm safe for babies?

I have really sore nipples (6 month growth spurt) I don't like my lanolin ointment, and coconut oil only help temporarily, so I was told to try bag balm. I am just not sure if it safe for my son to feed with it on my nipples? or if I should wipe it off first? Is ok if it's just residue and not gooped on? TIA!

From your other post and this one it sounds like your latch isn’t right, maybe go back to square one with getting a good, deep latch and the pain and soreness will go

I really like Mothercare nipple cream. It’s natural and doesn’t need to be wiped off but isn’t sticky like lanolin.

Youll definitely want to be wiping that off first, it contains petroleum jelly

There is a prescription nipple cream that is great and doesn’t need to be removed. Maybe see if your dr can give you some
