Am I wrong?

My sons father and I haven't been together since I was 2 months pregnant I'd say. The amount of times he's lied the whole pregnancy I cant even count. Not petty lies, serious lies from stealing money, having furniture repossessed, and writing a blank check. Needless to say I left him. BARLEY checked up the whole pregnancy and was constantly harassing me. Excluded himself and his family from the baby shower. Denied the baby was his and threatened multiple times to not be in my sons life. Fast forward to my sons birthday, he was there for the birth and about two weeks after until I mentioned child support because he didn't contribute nothing at all. We got a parenting plan signed by a judge saying he gets him 2 days a week but has to provided transportation via family because he has a suspended license. He has cancelled multiple times and also has been late multiple times. He will go two weeks without seeing my son or even asking how he is. He has no idea how to use the car seat hes had for his oldest child for my son. I've showed him on numerous occasions but thinks sitting in the back while holding him is "okay". My patience is wearing very thin and I'm not sure what else to do. He has extreamly unstable living conditions and can not hold a job. Does anyone have any advice or have been through a similar situation?
