I never want to be the wife that runs to friends/family and says how terrible their SO is and I don’t think he’s terrible but sometimes he frustrates me so much that I just go to the bedroom and cry.

For the last few days I’ve been trying to talk to my husband about honeymoon (delayed) plans. We just got married on New Years <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android.eve">Eve</a> in 2017. We decided mutually to put the honeymoon off for the next summer (of 2018) since we were going to go to our favorite beach for a week... but then it snowed and we would have enjoyed it more in the summer AND we wanted to use the money to have a videographer. No regrets there.

So when it came to this past summer, we came across money issues just associated with our new life together and we couldn’t afford it.

Since then, I’ve gotten a new job and when we looked at our current payments/debt... EVERYTHING (minus the house and student loans) will be paid off in six months. We paid all of our bills comfortably already before the job with not as much to spare for vacation. So now, we’re going to be fine.

So back to today (and the last few days), I’ve tried to talk to him about this. I have been looking for places to stay and spent HOURS narrowing it down to 17 places for him to choose from. We talked about September and he was fine with it two days ago. So I mentioned it today to confirm with him and he’s like “Maybe we should go sooner”. So I say June. And he says no cause that’s too crowded. So I say may and he says “we can’t afford to be going in May. Just cause we’re paying off debt doesn’t mean we need to spend money.”

OKAY, now I have to add the fact that we have agreed to take a vacation and have our honeymoon BEFORE kids. We both want to start trying relatively soon. I want to start trying ON vacation. We have agreed to that but he’s refusing to talk about it. I feel like I’ve wasted days on this and I can’t please him. I feel sure that it’s because I’m not getting his full attention cause of these stupid video games! Ready to just throw them out the front door!
