I’ve scrolled through a lot of topics but haven’t seen this one answered yet (sorry if I missed it).

I’m due in February and do not plan on getting an epidural. I’ve read that other moms used laughing gas or other pain meds through their iv to help with pain.

If my goal is to move around (as much as possible in a hospital) and not throw up from pain medication, should I avoid all types of pain killers? Or is anyone familiar with certain types of iv or gas meds for pain that they would recommend?
