Christmas gift idea - silly or no?

So I live in WI and my ex bfs mom who I still get a long with has always wanted pampus grass. If you don’t know what it is, it’s a feathery looking grass you plany outside. Now I have no clue what to get her for christmas(actually anyone, I’m a terrible gift giver lol) She just built her own house and was thinking of getting her a gift card to an online nursery that sells this grass she’s been meaning to get. I can’t go out and buy it cause it’s winter obviously and it is out of season. Is that a silly Christmas present? I have a few other small gifts to go along with it but just wondering if that’s ok?
