Son’s father arrested for child abuse.

Hi ladies. I need some advice or I need to vent, I’m not sure at the moment. So almost 2 years ago I had the most precious baby boy. About 4ish months after I had my son, my ex boyfriend & I split up, we tried fixing things but I found out that he was sleeping with another girl so fixing our relationship went out the window. A little over a year ago he got married to a girl he went to school with. I tried to get a long with her for the sake of my son, but it didn’t happen. Fast forward to a month & a half ago I got a call from my son’s step mother saying my ex was arrested for hitting her 2 year old daughter twice in the face. While my son was spending the weekend with his father. Apparently he “snapped”. 🙄

I now have my son full time (thank goodness). I’ve been giving my son’s step mother the benefit of the doubt & letting her keep him one day out of the week just for visitation purposes with his dad because I have to work. Well it’s starting to bite me in the ass. My ex has been making me feel like I’m a terrible mother. & his wife hates his family & hates that they keep my son every once in a while. It’s ridiculous. Well today I let my son go with his step mom like I always do, but this time he screamed. Usually he don’t, usually he’s excited to go with her.

I guess what I’m getting at is that I’m exhausted. I’m tired of forcing my son to go with her just so he can see his father. I’m tired of being treated like crap by him & her. Like fuck I’m trying.

Should I make him go next time?

Sorry for the long post & if it’s hard to follow. I don’t have anyone to talk to about any of this & really need advice.
