You’re in labor and the doctor says they can only save you or your baby. Who do you choose to save?

My husband is disabled, and it wouldn't feel right leaving him behind because most people have given up on him due to his disabilities, so I would save myself.

Honestly... Whoever has a chance at a healthy life... Meaning the one being saved won't end up on life support or having to be in the hospital for a majority of their lives. But I feel most of the time the mother dies due to hemorrhaging after the baby was born.

Myself. We could always try for another baby. I couldn’t leave my partner on his own.

I picked myself right away, but I have never had kids so I don’t know if I’d really opt that once I feel that “motherly” love, but at this point I’d pick myself because: i wouldn’t want to leave my partner with a newborn by himself, I feel like I have fought and already came all this way in life and I’d probably be able to conceive again - I mean that I’d probably be more “needed” from my family and loved ones that my newborn ☹️ although it sounds awful to put it this way!

I have an 8 month old I can’t leave him plus me and my husband can always have another one in the future

I was once in a similar situation (not while in labor but found out that my pregnancy was killing me at around 7 weeks pregnant) and my husband was very clear that he didn't think he could raise our child without me while being in the military and stationed so far from family. I'm not sure if I would feel differently if the baby had been viable at the time but as of now, I'm glad I'm alive.

My baby. My SO is a great father and he will take care of them. To be honest, some days I don’t want to live so, there was no hesitation in answering.
