Second membrane sweep success??

Question

I am 40 weeks today and 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. I had my second membrane sweep today! I am getting so frustrated! I just want to meet our little guy! Anyone have success after a second sweep? I had my first one last week and lost my mucus plug but nothing else :(

When I had my first sweep at 39 weeks I was 3cm and 70%. My doctor thought I would for sure go into labor within 24hrs. But I made it to my 40 week appointment with no baby yet or progression! She did another sweep and I had my little guy the next night! Fingers crossed for you!:) good luck!

Had my second one yesterday and I was a good 2cm dilated and 80% effaced with little man at -2 station. I have been cramping ever since and lots of MP discharge. Tons of pressure as well. I’m suppose to have a repeat c-section Friday. I originally wanted a vbac but little man very big and my percentage of successful vbac dropped significantly. Still a little hopeful that I will go into labor here before and that my percentage can change. Really don’t want to be in hospital over thanksgiving tho!

Not sure but I’m in the same boat! 40 weeks, 1cm dilated had my membrane sweep yesterday and nothing Yet :( keep us posted!
