Depends on the ingredients. If it’s a vegan protein shake like a meal replacement and all natural, sure as long as you’re still meeting your calorie requirements.
BUT no funky supplements, nothing meant to enhance performance (usually caffeine and additional stuff that accelerated the heart rate). When in doubt, call La Leche league.

No. From personal experience dieting while breastfeeding isn't recommended. Someone on here told me this you need fat for one reason when your pregnant now that your breastfeeding you need fat for a different reason. I was dieting while breastfeeding I did the shakes and it negatively impacted my daughter she started to lose weight to. I was recommended a high fat diet now because of it. She still has issues with her weight now and the Dr is thinking its because her body is trying to regulate. Since I was dieting and she wasn't getting the nutrients she needed now that she is her body needs to reregulate.
