Should i go for repeat scan knowing ive miscarried?

EPU made me appointment in 2 weeks time for repeat viability scan however in the meantime I've miscarried and passed the gestational sac. I don't want to go for the scan again as feel like it's pointless and going to be really sad 😟

Yes, go and check everything’s passed or you could end up with infection or future fertility’s issues. Sorry for your loss

They still asked that I attend the scan to see if I was passing everything ok. My scan was only 5 days after mc though

You need to go unfortunately so you know you're in the all clear and you can move on. I ended up having to go back for like 5 scans as my missed miscarriage dragged out for weeks :( I'm sorry 💔

I would maybe speak to your midwife or ring epu and explain you have passed the sac. They may wish to scan to be sure all has passed but they will more than likely appreciate you calling and will cancel the scan

Hey beautiful i am just going through mc myself with my first baby! It's heartbreaking 💔 I personally want a scan because i want to make sure everything is out, the gyno unit said they wont let me have a scan just told me to do pregnancy test at home if its negetive then im fine 😮.. but im going drs on Monday and requesting one! So sorry for your loss. I felt the same about going for a scan after mc. I had 2 scans & quite a few blood tests after mc. It may feel better not to go but it’s better to go to make sure everything is going back to how it was before. Will give you peace of mind x

I passed mine the day before my app and went back, just showed that everything had passed and just a bit of blood left, just think it is the safer option xx
