My cervix is high, and my doctor could barely reach it. Will my cervix drop or does it stay the same?

Im 38w and 5d and im not dilated n my cervix is still high. What does this mean. Will i be later than my due date

You could go into labor at any moment, if it’s your first kid, there’s a high chance you will have to be induced after your due date. I had to have my water broken by the doctor 2 days after my due date. 
It sounds like your baby hasn’t even dropped into the birth canal yet.
When you start to dilate, it’s how doctors tell how wide your cervix is spreading. And when you start to effaced, it tells the doctor how thin your cervix is.
I was 34 weeks, and was dilated to a 2. And was effaced 80%. 
Once youre fullly 100% effaced, that’s when you start dilating fast. 
I was effacing fast, but still went 6 weeks without giving birth. Do lots of squats, it will help drop the baby into birth canal.
Spicy food and walking 2 miles a day is what put me into labor

I'm 39 weeks and my cervix is still high, hard, and closed. I felt like my doctor had his whole forearm inside if me. I'm due on the 30th. I'm expecting to be induced. They are even talking c-section because baby boy is measuring to be 10lbs.
