Advice about when to get married

Ma

As simple as I can put it:

-My boyfriend and i have been together 3 years and we have known since year one that we wanted get married and dont want to be with anyone else.

-I live with my grandmother, he loves with his parents. We are going to a community college to save money but we are going to a university in Fall 2019 to finish our degrees over the next 2 years.

-since we able to stay with family and save money and focus on school that's what we want to do until after we get out bachelor's in two years.

-but we really want to be married and are considering this summer to be the time, the catch is that:

•if we get legally married then taxes are a thing and we are not sure if it would be better or worse with living separate

•even though we both really want to live together we know it would not be smart

•his grandparents will probably just say "well why are you getting married if you're not going to live together" and not understand or be very supportive

•we thought about going to elope this summer and not doing the legal part because of taxes and potential not getting needed financial aid for school but honestly we don't know how it all works and i have tried to learn online but I'm not getting very far.

So basically i am wondering what your opinions are or advice on if we should wait another 2 years to tie the knot and love together after already waiting 3 years, should we get married anyway and the taxes will be fine with living separatly, any other ideas?

We are at that point in our relationship where we feel we are ready to actually dedicate ourselves to eachother and be more than just boyfriend/girlfriend because we are basically married now with how we act and spend time together. We want to make it offical and 2 years feels like a long time but it also seems like it woukd be eaiser to do everything after college and there would be less mess with family.

I just don't know. If there is info i didnt give you want to know, you can ask.

If you really think it matters I'm 19 and he just turned 21. He is about a semester ahead of me in school but he is taking a break next spring so that we can start in the fall at the same time.
