It might be a long read but I need to get it out there, maybe someone can explain. 🤷🏻‍♀️👽💩

I am originally from Colombia but I moved to Qatar in the Arabian Gulf a few months ago. Anyhow, I recently met this Moroccan guy and we exchanged numbers. One day we decided to meet up but he asked me to show up with friends (it threw me off, so he wants to see me but not alone? WTH?). He also brought a friend with him so I thought to myself “ok, so I thought he might want to have a date but nope, apparently we are just hanging out. Ok, fine”. The weird thing is that sometimes I would still feel Mr. Morocco to be somewhat flirty and I liked it so I played along haha but like we were 4 people on the table! Our friends are right here with us, why? Hahaha anyhow, I still had an awesome night. Before I left back home he said: “ I would like to see you again and again and again and again”.

We met a second time, this time we went dancing to a club but of course his friends were there as well. At first we were all dancing together yet by the end of the night the 2 of us were dancing together. It was fun and awesome. At one point he put his hands on my butt 😏😉 and then one of his friends called us back to the table because they wanted pictures of the whole gang.

His friend who called us (he is kind of my friend as well at this point) approached and I could not understand what his friend was telling ‘my guy’ because they speak Arabic and I do not 😕 but then he did some gestures I could understand. He was telling him to breathe and calm down. It somehow feels like his friend is taking care of us like chaperoning haha.

Anyhow, at the end of the night my Moroccan (or maybe not mine, who knows), walked me to a taxi and gave me a kiss on each cheek and told me he will be looking forward to us meeting again. This was a couple of nights ago and we are currently casually just chatting over the phone. We both work and cannot meat until next week.

I am not sure if this have been dates because where I come from it all works very differently. I am thinking that maybe it IS a date but a date with friends (?) for whatever reason. Maybe it is just hopeful thinking.
