Is a VBAC even possible for me?

Kelbie

So, my daughter will be two in February and we are ttc #2... I want so badly to have a vaginal delivery as my first delivery, I don’t remember. With my first one, I was diagnosed with Choleostasis of the liver which automatically insured i would be induced at 37 weeks and they sent me straight to high-risk dept.. Well, at 34 weeks, i was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and was kept in the hospital until my induction at 37 weeks. The night before my induction, I went into labor on my own, it was just very slow. The next morning they started pitocin and my nurse told me I could have my epidural whenever, well me being young and dumb, I decided to go ahead and get it over with. Well, it didn’t work, I was numb from the thighs down and that prevented me from doing any walking. They did the pill behind my cervix (?), the balloon behind my cervix, and the peanut ball, and I never dilated past 6cm. My blood pressure started to rise, so they started magnesium (i swelled up like a freakin balloon and could barely move). Long story short, at 36 hours into labor and no epidural they told me I’d need a C-section. They put me under to do so, so I missed out on basically the first two days of my daughters life. Overall, the surgery went well & it wasn’t emergency, so the incision is small and i healed fairly well. With this baby, I would really like to try for a VBAC. Is it even an option?
