Ultrasound after 20 weeks?

Just found out my dr doesn’t want to do one again until I’m 36 weeks. It feels so far away! Is anyone else in the same boat?

My doctors said my 20 was probably going to be my last so be happy you get one then!!

My dr office gives one typically at 8 weeks and then one at 20 of course and  my final one around 36 weeks in order to make sure that the baby is in a good position for vaginal birth.  Other than that I plan on setting up an elective 3D/4D ultrasound around 30 weeks.

Anatomy scan is often the last unless doctor sees a specific reason for another. I always have multiple throughout my pregnancy- usually because I measure big. Baby is always fine (thankfully).

You can always do a private one later on if you want. There is a company in our area that does them for like 40 bucks

Yup!! Going 15 weeks is going to be rough not seeing baby!

That is truly disappointing. My drs office just about every ob and midwife there’s performs a 5-10 min ultrasound each visit. Their way of checking babys growth, heart rate, position, etc. I love getting to see the change in the baby each appointment

Yep 20 weeks is the last ultrasound my doctor does unless there’s something they see and want to send me to a specialist

here in UK unless there's a reason to have other scans we only get 2 scans... 12 ish weeks and 20ish weeks so we have to go half a pregnancy without seeing baby unless you pay

Ideally after the anatomy scan most women and babies shouldn't need another ultrasound. If the pregnancy is normal and healthy that is.
