Authoritarian — strict rules, very involved, no negotiations (“what I say goes”)

Authoritative — clearer & less strict rules that are explained to children, frequent communication, moderately involved

Permissive — limited rules, let children figure out problems on their own, open communication

Uninvolved — no discipline style, limited communication, give their children freedom/generally stay out of their way

Other post got me thinking, lol. How strict should parents be? How strict are you as a parent, or how strict were your parents? Is there a wrong parenting style, or is it situational?
