Heartbeat but bleeding.. seeking support!!

Seeking support.. yesterday I went in for my 12 week checkup, they did an extensive ultrasound and immediately after I had bright red blood. The doctor said not to worry but when it got increasing worse I went to the hospital. The Er doc said I experienced a hemorrhage, the baby looked okay but he said this might be the beginning signs of a miscarriage. Since it was Friday he said there was nothing I could do and go to my doctor on Monday to have my hcg levels checked and just hope they go up if not they will deem my little one as a miscarriage. When I went to the dr for the ultrasound the heartbeat was 172 then during the bleeding the heartbeat was 168. Has anyone ever experienced this and not had it result in a miscarriage?
