Menstrual cup?

Question

I’ve used everything from tampons to panda to toilet paper when I needed to but the aspect of putting a cup there to collect all the blood always intrigued me. Any beginner tip?

You have some good info, but i need info. Is "panda" a typo or is there some period product thats named after pandas or what? Sorry if this came off as rude but i laughed then i started thinking and now im really confused

Switching to the cup has been the greatest period-related decision I’ve ever made. I have extremely inconsistent/irregular cycles, so when I used pads and tampons I was always playing a guessing game. I’d be cramping or maybe beginning to spot, but it wasn’t enough blood to need a tampon. I was always left wondering if my period would even actually be starting that day, so then I’d be pulling a dry tampon out a few hours later—which is SUPER PAINFUL! Either that or I’d be walking around with a pad on, which is itchy, smells if you sweat at all, and is bulky. Now that I use a cup I don’t have to deal with ANY of that stuff. I can start using it whenever I want, and if it was just a false alarm and my period HASN’T started yet, it’s no big deal to just take it out and wait another day or two. Same thing at the end of my cycle... if I keep spotting a little longer than usual, it’s totally fine. I’m not wasting products or relying on toilet paper to get me through the day. It’s sooooo much cheaper to not have to buy pads/tampons anymore, way better for the environment, and honestly I sometimes forget I’m on my period now. I love that I can use the bathroom with it in and it’s not unsanitary. I even took a bath with my cup in last month just to see if it’d work, and it was awesome! Cannot say enough good things about menstrual cups. I have the Si-Bell cup. I especially love it because it’s pink, and I find the clear ones a little gross-looking since they tend to discolor/stain after prolonged use.
