Parents forcing me into University

Out of my family, I am always portrayed by my parents to their friends as a ‘genius’ when I don’t think that is right at all.

My parents want me to get into medicine, they want a doctor, but I don’t want to be a doctor, I don’t care about the money.

My older sister didn’t even go to University, and was never forced like I was

Now don’t just say ‘it’s your choice’ cause it really isn’t.

I have worked so hard to get into University, and the only way I can pay for it is if my grandparents do. And they will be disappointed if they find out I am not becoming a doctor.

Next year I am signed up to do the Bachelor Of Biomedical Science to raise my ATAR, before going for my MD and such.

I find being a doctor too much to handle and too much time.

I want to be a teacher, or into child care, and want to be a young mum (25)

But they will never support this idea.

When I mention it, they just say you have worked too hard or the money isn’t that great
