HOW are you getting your baby to nap?

We've been trying for weeks. I make sure he's dry, I know he's not hungry, we have the same routine in a dark room etc. We try to put him down drowsy and he screams. We put him in asleep and he wakes and screams. I watch for yawning and other cues...

I know they cry a little while falling asleep but he just gets louder and so worked up it's hard to bring him back down to calm.

Then we get to 4pm and he's been up since 6 and I just finally hold him so he can get some rest. He's goin to daycare in four weeks and he's going to be a little terror. I feel like I might as well give up on all this and just hold him for naps because I'm not getting anything done trying to calm him from refusing to nap.

He just doesn't WANT to nap during the days, but he's obviously tired and to then just becomes a fussy grump all day. When he starts to fall asleep he blinks his eyes an and starts kicking to wake up.

The thing is... He has ZERO problems being put down to bed at night. And he used to be put down for naps until just before 3 months.

I guess I don't expect much help... Just wanted to vent before I pull my hair out.
