How to tell someone you don’t want to be friends🤦🏼‍♀️🙄

In no way am I trying to be rude or hurt anyone’s feelings but at this point this whole situation is getting annoying.

I was distant friends with this girl for many years, meaning I wasn’t close friends but I talked to her and occasionally hung out together. During high school we early talked and now in 11th grade year she is like all over me. She wants to play 8 ball all the time or hangout on the weekends and she even went as far as asking me what I want for Christmas. I get she is trying to be nice but I’m not going to accept a gift from someone when I don’t get them something in return, and I don’t have the extra money to be buying gifts for people I’m not close to. My whole point is that this is getting annoying. I have a job and go to school as well as my college classes and I don’t want to sit on my phone and play 8 ball or hang out with someone I’m not close with on the weekends when I could be with my family or my boyfriend. I guess the point of this post is to how to kind of get her to catch the drift that I don’t want to be her friend anymore. I’m getting tired of making up lies and I feel bad, but I just don’t want to be friends anymore.
