Okay so I’m 39+5 weeks pregnant and I’ve been wondering,
Do you need to be shaved down below?
Like it’s getting impossible to shave down there with my belly😂 It’s not a hairy mess either but it’s not clean shaved either?
Does it matter if it’s shaved or not?

The choice is up to you it’s your body, the midwives have seen anything and everything. My midwife mentioned it’s better to not shave in case you have a c-section because it’s a  risk of infection, but I’m 100% getting rid of my body hair.

I have heard that you shouldn’t shave right before because you increase your chances of infection but other than that I guess it doesn’t matter. I’m sure they’ve seen hair every way it comes and you probably won’t give it a shit at the time!

No it doesn’t. I just found it easier for cleaning purposes with the postpartum bleeding, but I didn’t have trouble shaving either.
