When do baby showers usually happen??

Help!! I have no idea when to even attempt to schedule this shower for. My mom will be planning it but this is her first grandchild so I don’t think she knows either so I want to give her an approximate time help!

It’s a personal choice I know many people who did theirs at all different times in their pregnancy. I personally want to do mines two months before I’m due so my sister that’s throwing it will be aiming towards middle or end of May. I didn’t want it too early but not like last minute either. I won’t wait until I’m full-term but getting close to that as possible without exactly pushing it.
