Falling for my best friend

I just got out of a 2 1/2 year relationship and my best friend and I have been spending a lot more time together. We’ve been friends for 5 years and I had a crush on him when I first met him but got over it as we got older. We ended up drunkenly cuddling 3 times in the past 2 weeks which isn’t major but it’s still confusing. I think he might be developing feelings for me but I know that if I acted on that it would make things really messy.

Does anyone have any advice or thoughts on this ? Pls help I’m confused.
