Giving him my IUD as a Christmas present

Sooooo I need some advice ladies.

So Christmas is coming up and me and hubby want to try for number 2 very soon! Hes been begging me to take out the iud and I've been hesitant because I wanted our own house before we had another one, so I was thinking of gifting it to him for Christmas cause I know he'd freak!

The problem is we had to move back in with his parents because we couldn't renew our lease.

We want to buy a house in the new year which would make it perfect to add another member of our family. Butttt I dont know if we are going to get a house quickly enough if I get pregnant soon after taking out the iud.

SO my question is, what do you ladies think. We really want to have number 2 in this next year because we dont want a huge gap between our kids, but I dont know whether to wait until we for sure have a house or take it out now and THEN work on getting the house or getting another lease. I just really want to make this Christmas special because it's been a tough year.
