Is it ok for a boy to have a baby doll?

Ok ladies I need opinions. We have three boys 8,2,and seven weeks. I bought our two year old a boy baby doll for Christmas. I don’t think my husband is thrilled. I see no issues with it and when my friend and her daughter came over once he loved playing with the baby dolls she brought. My thoughts are maybe it will help with the new baby. He can feed his doll and hold it and change it like I do with the baby. I’m thinking it’ll help the transition a bit. What’s your opinions on this? I get why my husband is weird about it. A boy with a doll but I personally think it’s fine.

Absolutely! I don’t know why we want little girls to grow up to be good moms (play with dolls) but we don’t want little boys to grow up to be good dads? I think it’s perfectly natural and adorable❤️

Abolsutely it’s ok. Chances are your husband played with a doll as a child too.

There is nothing wrong with him playing with and having a doll. Parents are mothers and fathers. I think it will be good learning and fun for him. It will also be a good way for him to be a part of the big brother process as you said feeding (and what not) his baby along side yours.

Nothing wrong with a boy playing with a baby, it’s no different than a girl playing with cars. Anyone and everyone can play with baby dolls in my opinion. My son is 2 and plays dress up with dresses. But he also only has sisters and girls to play with. Nothing wrong with it. And it’ll help tremendously with the new baby.

When we had our daughter in October I bought my 3.5 year old son a girl baby doll he got to take home from the hospital my hubby also wasn't thrilled but he got over it.. my son also told Santa he wanted a barbie house so he could play barbie's and unfortunately I've already bought my kids Christmas otherwise he would have been getting a damn barbie.. luckily his birthday is in March and if he still wants a barbie he'll be getting one.. I love it! It was the cutest thing ever when he told Santa what he wanted.
I don't think it's wrong if boys play with "girl" toys or for girls to play with "boy" toys
