Dreading my second csection

I had an emergency csection at 38 weeks due to pre eclampsia with my first. It’s been five years so they were going to let me do a vbac but now that I’m having issues with my blood pressure again they’re deciding against it and going to have me do another csection. I had THE WORST experience with my first one and honestly I’m terrified. I really didn’t want to go through that again. I know it will be different since this will be planned and not have the stress of it being an emergency but I’m still really dreading it. Does the pain and healing get worse or is it about the same? What can I expect?
