Odor down there

I gave birth to my beautiful daughter 16 days ago. I ended up with a second degree tear that really hasn’t bothered me much. The beginning of this week I started noticing an odd smell, like a musty/old blood smell. I realized it was coming from down under when I was changing my pad. My bleeding has slowed down a lot and is now a dark brown color. I’ve been doing what my doctor said to care for the area and don’t really have any pain. Just a little sore now and then after I have a bowel movement. Has anyone else noticed a smell after giving birth? I know it can be a sign of infection but that’s really all I’m experiencing.
