Baby hospital bag ?!

What to put in your babies hospital bag ? 
How many clothes and what sizes?

I had size newborn and size 0-3 months stuff just incase. I had 4 different outfits. Mostly pjs for the comfort of the baby. I brought hats and scratch mitts. My own swaddling blankets. And some milk pads for myself.

Our hospital told us on our tour that all we needed for baby was his car seat and a going home outfit! So that’s what I packed for him 🤷🏼‍♀️ plus a swaddle. They provided diapers and a little kimono type shirt. I kept him in that little shirt the whole time too...I was exhausted and didn’t feel like playing “dress up” with him....plus he had an IV so they even had to cut one of the sleeves on his little shirt so that it wouldn’t get in the way lol. And I ended up using his swaddle I brought for his newborn pics!

I brought a few plain white onesies, a blanket and some socks/mittens for him as well as a couple footie pajamas and his going home outfit. I had packed both newborn and 0-3 month size and it's a good thing because my estimated 8lb 39 week baby ended up a 10lb 6.5oz 39 weeker!

My hospital didn't provide anything so I brought a few onesies, newborn and next size up just in case. A sleeper of each size. A few burp cloths and blankets. Diapers, again newborn and one size up. Wipes.

The hospital will have pretty much everything you need. They supplied all the diapers, wipes, burp rags, etc.  in abundance. They even gave us a ton to take home. The hospital also supplied us with a halo sleep swaddle and a hats.  
We stayed in the hospital 3 days and 2 nights.  I had only brought one outfit for my son for the day we went home. I ended up sending hubby home to get more clothes for our stay. I’d recommend brining a few onsies and or jammies for your babe. We also got a pacifier from gone because our hospital didn’t supply them. Newborn size should be sufficient.

I’m a ftm I’m only 21w4d so far and I’ve already been thinking about this 😂 
I’m going to bring my babies diaper bag as their “bag” 
2 newborn sleepers and 2 newborn onesies 2 pairs of 0-3 month pants (I don’t have any newborn pants and I don’t plan on buying any), 2 pacifiers, 2 swaddles and that’s probably it I’m not doing going home outfit 😂 
Oh maybe some baby mittens and a hat too!
