Occasionally my husband and I will look at the arrest records for our old small town. It’s honestly really sad to see how many kids we went to school with getting in such horrible situations. Most of the arrests are for felony drug possession and dui. One was a murder that we saw tonight. I was baffled.

Growing up we were always told that the town we lived in was so safe. Everyone knew everyone. It seems to me that that may not exactly be the case.

So what do you think? Are small towns generally safer? Or are bigger cities? Does it even matter or are they all the same? What do you think about when it comes to safety in where you live?
