Birth control mucus plug??

So I stopped birth control for a month last year due to surgery, and the mucus plug came out after! I know that’s normal, but since then I’ve taken my pills on time and never missed, and what looked like another mucus plug came out? Why would that happen if I haven’t missed any?

To everyone who’s saying a mucus plug is not a thing with birth control they are wrong. I went off mine in June and definitely had a mucus plug. Was quite surprised at first but it’s a thing!

Birth control pills can cause a mucus plug... idk why everyone is saying that isn’t a thing lmao.
It’s a build up of cervical mucus that blocks sperm from entering.. especially progestin only pills. It’s so normal.
