FTM here. On a scale of 1 to oh-hell-no, how painful is a membrane sweep? I will be 38 weeks on Friday. My doctor said come my Monday appt, she would check me, and if I was dilated (and wanted her to) she would perform a membrane sweep for me. I know it’s not a sure-fire way to start labor (and I am not looking for people to tell me I am a terrible person for contemplating it before being 40 weeks) but I am just curious if anyone is willing to share their experience.
