Should I ask for a seat on priority seat?

I commute daily to work by train and there is rarely a seat by the time when I get on to the train. The peak hour is usually very crowded and even the priority seats are filled. Should I ask for a seat? My bump is not showing yet but I have sore back...

If you’re in the August group then I’m assuming you’re not more than atleast 8 weeks along. So I’d say no. I mean, pregnancy is different for everyone so I guess if it’s really that awful for you that you feel you need to then you can. But personally I work fast food where I’m on my feet nonstop 10 hours a day atleast once a week (other shifts are normally only 7-8 hours) and I’m sure a lot of other momma-to-bes are aswell. Like I said, I guess it depends on if you feel that you really need it but personally I’d say no unless you just felt like crap that day..

I’m sure 50% of the people on the train have a sore back.
I mean it sucks for anyone to have to stand but how do you know the women already sitting aren’t pregnant too and have a sore back? When you’re further along and you have lightning crotch and swollen ankles then yes!

If you’re in that much pain yes. Pregnant or not if you’re in a lot of pain it doesn’t hurt to ask.  Or, try taking the bus if an option for you. Longer commute but you can sit.
