IFFF you already are a tobacco smoker, it is safer for baby and you to continue smoking but cutting it off gradually (or using nicotine gum or anything that'll please that craving) and being done by 20 weeks. Quitting cold turkey will possibly make baby go into shock because of withdrawal. Most doctors recommend that.
It is bad, though, and you shouldn't even be smoking while pregnant if you have never smoked or were never a big smoker. 
Consider completely putting the cigarette down when baby gets here, not just after you have weaned off. It isn't doing anything good for your health.
