Hi all,

I need some advice/ someone to vent to.

It’s my hubby’s Christmas party for work tonight and he asked me to go. I said I was a bit anxious about it because I would be walking into a room full of people who know each other and don’t know me. I would literally be walking in like that 2 because I finish work after the party had started. I told him that if he came and picked me up from work I would feel more comfortable. He said he could do that. Fast forward to today the day of the Christmas party he stopped by my work after he finished his on the way to the petrol station and I told him about my day and he said he could see I was busy so he would go. I expected him to say text me when you’re ready and I’ll come and get you but no instead he said “drive safe, I’ll see you later”. Which to me meant he was going to go without me. I didn’t really know what to say so i just said you to. I’m so upset because I have mentally worked myself up to meeting a whole bunch of new people and now he doesn’t even want me there. I feel like I should message him and say do you still want me to come, but a) I’m not very confrontational and b) I know he’d say yes because he would feel obliged rather than actually wanting me there
