Ok so here’s the story-my in laws asked my husband about a month or two ago if he would possibly want a gun safe for Christmas (one of those really big ones-there was a deal on them @ rural king) so my husband tells them no thanks just because mainly they’re so big and heavy and we only have a two bedroom house, and we’re about to have our second baby.

So, we just did Christmas with my family, and my mom & Dad ended getting my husband one (to make matters worse, the exact same one from rural king!!) for his birthday! (which is in December) ..my mom and dad wouldn’t tell me beforehand what they got him because they kept telling me they wanted it to be a surprise, but they kept saying stuff like oh it’s so heavy we’ll need help getting it in the truck, and things about it being a large gift..so now, my in laws think that I’ve schemed this whole thing up, and are telling my husband that this has to be my fault basically..I’m at a loss for what to do..Really, I’m not going to do anything, because I had no clue about the whole situation and I called my parents later on and asked if at some point I had mentioned the gun safe, and they said no (which I also don’t remember doing either!) it really does seem to be this huge coincidence..but my in laws aren’t buying that..I understand they’re upset, and aggravated..but on the other hand it’s aggravating to me because I’ve been made the bad guy in this situation, when I had nothing to do with any of this!!🤦🏼‍♀️

So just curious and thought I’d get some feedback from you ladies..what would you all do in this situation? Has anyone else been in this situation?? Thanks if you read all that! Lol
