So when my husband and I got married and moved into our house his mother gave us a box with his old ornaments in it. There were both his ornaments he made in school and his baby's first- like 5th year ornament. My question is, shouldn't she be keeping these ornaments? Especially the ones he made in school? Usually parents keep those to remember when their kids were little. And the baby's first ornaments? We are going to have our own kids someday and will have their first ornaments to put on the tree. Why would we put my husband's up? We are thinking about giving them back to her. Even if we keep them and just don't hang them up, there are just taking up space in our ornament box. What are your thoughts?
